TRANSIENCE | TULLI STEVENS

Tulli’s artwork is an exploration into the intricate beauty of leaves and patterns in nature, provoking a sense of consciousness and appreciation towards the natural environment. Tulli finds “ordinary” natural materials, that are generally overlooked and transform them into highly detailed, fragile artworks.

Growing up in such a beautiful place has made her passionate and appreciative of the natural world around me, so this is something Tulli wants to share and convey to others in her art.

Each leaf is pressed for preservation, but due to the organic nature of a leaf, it cannot be guaranteed how they will change over time. Some will stay green, while others may transition to rich earthy tones over a long period of time. This will leave you with an ever-evolving artwork.

ZUZANE PERA | ATLANTIS

Atlantis exhibition is dedicated to small collection of my works, which share the common theme of waterscapes and underwater imaginations. Artworks in Atlantis varies from abstract expressionism, abstract landscapes to small figurative graphical works. While creating these works, I spent lot of time in flood-plain forests of Danube river. Nature of these forests is very lively and fresh, changing a lot during seasons. Observing the process of birth and death of flora - blooming flowers and decaying woods, giving space and energy to other elements is truly captivating. Fascination by the view of light and colors starts immense process of my artistic creation. My artwork is expressive, rising from inner and outer inspirations. I work with different techniques - acrylics, tempera, wax, ink, pastels... I really like work with materials: mixing colors and putting them together, or drawing lines and shading. Its satisfying process and I would even say I can feel internal happiness. Physical part of artistic work also makes me present in the moment, like feeling of the flow. Usually the idea comes from breath-taking scenery I have seen. Other time it is my inner vision or emotion I want to reveal. Sometimes I had seen a glimpse of view, which I later recreate based on the feeling and impression of that moment. Literally, I feel as medium to nature:) Art has always been part of my life. I grew up in capitol of Slovakia - Bratislava in early post-communist era. I lived in largest concrete borough of the city. Maybe to contrast this fact, I created deep connection with nature. Together with my family we spent a lot of time outdoor away from city. I have always listened to the forest, cherished the lakes and had enough time to wander spaces in my imagination. Nowadays nature still is my prior value, I find it a place where our soul originates and returns.
